School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships - a training system aimed at increasing the industry skills of students whilst still at school, combining paid work, a training course, and the school curriculum. • Credits in a traineeship or apprenticeship accumulate in a student’s QCAA Student Connect Account as part of their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) along with their school subjects

  • Training costs are met by the Government while students remain at school

  • Employers can trial different prospective employees before entering into a contract

  • Employers may be eligible for Financial Government Incentive
